Earlham performs well at the Iowa High School Music Association's Solo and Ensemble Contest

Earlham hosted the Iowa High School Music Association's Solo and Ensemble Contest on Saturday, April 9th. The Earlham Music Department was had a very successful day with 25 Division I (Superior) ratings, 8 Division II (Excellent) ratings, and 2 Division III (Good) ratings. The Earlham Music Boosters did a great job providing a concession stand and volunteering in the three performance centers and warm-up rooms. Each judge selects a "Best of Center" for their center at the end of day. Miriam Johll (senior) earned a "Best of Center" on her flute solo, and Grant Becker (junior) earned a "Best of Center" on his tenor saxophone solo. Thanks to all of the students and parents for a great day of music education.
