Middle School Boys Compete in IATC statewide meet

The Earlham 7th & 8th grade boys competed in the annual Iowa Association of Track and Field Coaches statewide meet on Saturday. The 7th graders took home the state title and had state champs in: high jump - John Humphrey, 100 meter dash - Jacob Ridgely, 200 meter dash - Jacob Ridgely, Shuttle Hurdle Relay - Slater Goff, Jake Willem, Alex Caskey, Caleb Swalla, New meet record and champion in the 200 meter hurdles - Caleb Swalla. Other athletes who competed well and set many P.R's were: Gavin Goodrich, Wade Feltner, Nick Wilson, Darrin Sesker, Chris Gadbaw, Cameron Terry,  Ashten Winey and Sam Kasap. The 8th graders only had a team of four but managed to earn medals in the distance medley - Keenan Volz, Carter Yettmar, Grant Peterson, Michael Allen. Keenan also medaled in both the 100 & 200 meter hurdles.
